CIDESCO is proud to have been part of the first ever World Massage meeting which took place at Cosmoprof in Bologna, Italy earlier this month.  The meeting was held in partnership with the European Massage Association and Cosmoprof.

We had full house during all three days of the massage marathon.  The whole world of massage was covered by a series of industry experts.  This included Swedish Massage from the Honorary President of CIDESCO International, Anna-Cari Gund who joined the European Massage Association President demonstrating it; CIDESCO USA Section President, Lydia Sarfati who dazzled with her WOW Massage; Pregnancy Massage founder, Catherine McInerney demonstrated the importance of wellness in pregnancy and how to grow your business; and Helen Beckmann talked about the importance of Oncology massage and busting the myths surrounding it.

Other topics included psychiatrist Valentina Pellegrino and Annarosa Colonna, a paediatric neuropsychiatrist at Centro Terapeuctico di Antoniano in Bologna, Italy.  Founder of the Institute for Phenomenal Touch, Leslie Bruder led a demonstration of the Phenomenal Touch Massage’s (PTM) core principles, showing therapists how to create a seamless massage by “listening deeply to the call of the body”.  There were also talks on rebalancing mind and body, Asian-inspired facial massage and ‘The Eternal Youth of the Kobido Massage’.
