Make-up Artistry

Aim of the course

To provide candidates the required information and qualification to be able to efficiently and effectively work as professional theatre, media and fashion make-up artists in the world. The course is designed to give candidates the most comprehensive training in make-up artistry.

Pre-requisite

The CIDESCO Diploma in Make-up Artistry is available only to candidates who have attempted the CIDESCO Media Make-up examination.

Training

Candidates are required to have completed a course of at least 380 hours at a registered CIDESCO Make-up school.

Examination

Candidates must have undertaken at least 4 school examinations (2 Practical and 2 Theory) during the course of their training before being eligible to sit their CIDESCO examination.

The examination for the Make-up Artistry Diploma consists of three parts:

  1. Portfolio – passing with 70% is a pre-requisite to participate in the CDESCO Make-up Artistry examination
  2. Theoretical examination – Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) exam
  3. Practical examination

Work experience

All candidates are required to complete 100 hours of work experience before they can receive their diplomas. The work experience can be done during the course.
