In our News in Brief this month, we’re pleased to announce that the new CIDESCO International website will be going live in early March. Created with our members and students in mind, the new site has a modern design and streamlined navigation. This enables our visitors to discover the full range of CIDESCO qualifications, easily locate their nearest School or College, Salon & Spa and learn about the many benefits of a CIDESCO membership.  We hope you enjoy visiting.

CIDESCO Education at Professional Beauty London

We are very excited to announce the CIDESCO Education Stage will be at Professional Beauty London on 3rd April.  The varied schedule from our industry experts covers nail and brow demonstrations as well as educational seminars exploring how to treat pregnant patients and those with cancer.  Speakers include the founders of the Black Micropigmentation Association; Helen Beckmann, Senior physiotherapist specialising in oncology; Catherine McInerney of Pregnancy Massage Australia®; and Marian Newman, Nail Professional &  Chair of the Nail Services Forum for HABIA.

The Global Wellness Institute reveals latest Global Wellness Trends

Last month we brought you the beauty trends, this month, it’s wellness. The much awaited Global Wellness Trends are now available. From Urban Bathhouses & Wellness Playgrounds to Senior Living Disrupted and Wellness Welcomes the Metaverse, there are 10 trends to watch this year.

How light therapy may accelerate the healing of skin damage

New research from the University of Buffalo reveals that low-dose light therapy may accelerate the healing of skin damage from burns and radiation therapy by up to 50%. It works by reducing inflammation, improving blood flow and helping wounds heal up to 19 days faster.
