With experience spanning five Further Education colleges, Runa’s career journey has taken her from lecturer to senior leadership and director level. Along the way, she has led the national development of Beauty Therapy qualifications and curriculum across Scotland, Botswana and India – helping shape standards on a global scale.
Runa also served as an HMIe Inspector, specialising in hairdressing, beauty and complementary therapies, where she evaluated the quality of learning, teaching and curriculum delivery.
After a long and successful tenure at VTCT, most recently as International Commercial Director, Runa joined Qualifi as Director for Hair, Beauty, Wellness and Aesthetics. Over 5 years, she led and developed more than 50 qualifications, all aligned to the latest industry standards and accredited by Ofqual on the UK Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF).
Runa is delighted to be joining CIDESCO and is excited to collaborate with the team and connect with members as she continues to champion excellence across the beauty, aesthetics and complementary therapy sectors.
